mild pet peeve
Hey, the numbers on an adding machine....or numeric keypad part of a computer keyboard:
They are not in the same order as one would find them on a phone. The 1-3 and 7-9 switch places.
In the words of TV's Cliff, "what's up with that?"

I cannot tell you how many times a day this messes me up. No joke.
Dawn, that's exactly what brought it to my own mind, today at work.
I have no idea why it is. I would *think* that the calculator layout "came first" compared to the phone layout, trying to think of which technology is older.
On the other hand, you never see a "00" button on a phone, either.
That screws me up at *least* once a week. :-P
Never seems to screw me up. Probably cause of, ya know, the whole being excellent thing.
